What happened
Beyond ONE, a Dubai based digital services company, acquired Virgin Mobile Middle East and Africa, operator of the Virgin Mobile and FRiENDi mobile brands with operations across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman and other markets. Terms were not disclosed.
Why it matters
The Gulf has some of the strongest MVNO economics in the world, and this deal consolidated the region's flagship virtual operator brands under one owner. It also showed private capital treating MVNO portfolios as platform assets rather than single market plays.
