What happened
IoT connectivity provider Wireless Logic acquired Jola, a UK-based, channel-only supplier of mobile data and eSIM solutions sold through managed service providers, telecom resellers and IT distributors. Jola built its business entirely through the partner channel, giving resellers a self-service portal to provision and manage multi-network data SIMs. Terms were not disclosed.
Why it matters
Wireless Logic's 2022 buying spree was a bet that IoT connectivity consolidates around distribution, not networks. Jola's channel-only model gave the group a route into thousands of small-business connections it would never win directly — and showed that in the MVNO wholesale economy, owning the reseller relationship can matter more than owning the SIM.
