What happened
London-based Bondio raised a $7.5 million seed round led by Breega, with participation from Kima Ventures and Motier Ventures, to build core network infrastructure purpose-built for the eSIM era. Founded in 2023 by Robinson Nouveau and Harshit Jain, Bondio connects travel apps, fintech platforms, airlines, and other businesses directly with telecom networks — delivering a working eSIM in under a second.
Why it matters
The eSIM gold rush is moving down the stack. After the consumer brands (Airalo, Roamless) raised big rounds, capital is now chasing the infrastructure layer beneath them — the bridge between telcos and millions of new eSIM customers. Sub-second eSIM provisioning as an API is exactly the kind of plumbing that lets any company become a connectivity provider.
