EdgeQ closed a $75 million Series B backed by EDBI, IRONGREY, ST Engineering, Yaletown, ClearSky, and existing investors to ramp production of its 5G+AI "base station-on-a-chip" for open 5G networks.
Why it matters
Cheaper, software-defined 5G silicon lowers the cost floor for every network operator downstream — the kind of infrastructure economics that ultimately makes wholesale MVNO capacity more abundant.
