Verification Standards
Every record cites a verified source
No acquisition, funding round, MVNO launch, or intelligence story is published without a working link to a public source. Source URLs are fetched and checked before publication — we verify the page exists and that the facts we publish appear in the source text, not just in a headline or a third-party summary.
Primary sources come first
When both a primary source and press coverage exist, we cite the primary source: regulator filings (FCC, SEC, DOJ, European Commission), carrier and vendor newsrooms, and official investor materials. Trade press and financial media are used for corroboration and for stories that never receive a primary announcement.
Facts and analysis are separated
Tracker records state what was announced: parties, values, dates, and terms as reported at announcement. Interpretation lives in clearly-marked analysis fields such as "why it matters" and in Atomic Intelligence commentary — so a reader can always distinguish the record from our reading of it.
All money figures are USD
Deal values and funding amounts are recorded in US dollars. Transactions announced in other currencies are converted at the exchange rate prevailing at announcement and rounded conservatively. Aggregate totals include only disclosed USD amounts — undisclosed and unconvertible values are tracked but never estimated into totals.
Updated continuously, dated transparently
Intelligence reports are published weekly. Tracker databases are updated as verified announcements occur, and every tracker and recap page displays its last-updated date. Records carry the announcement date as reported by the source, and deal statuses are revised when transactions close, are revised, or collapse.
Corrections are made, not hidden
If a record is found to be inaccurate — a wrong value, date, or attribution — we correct the record itself so the database stays authoritative. Readers can flag errors or missing records through our contact page, and every tracker page links to it.
