Arabsat and Libya Telecom & Technology (LTT) agree HTS satellite partnership
What happened
Saudi operator Arabsat and Libya Telecom and Technology (LTT) signed a strategic partnership to deliver high-throughput satellite (HTS) capacity over Libya. Arabsat will provide capacity on the Arabsat-6A satellite at 30.5°E to support LTT’s current and planned connectivity requirements, and the companies said the agreement creates a platform for further collaboration on service capabilities. The Atomic Take
For MVNOs, MVNEs and other wholesale players, this expands a non-terrestrial supply path that can be used for rapid market entry, backhaul resilience or satellite-first FWA and enterprise products without building new terrestrial backbone. Practical adoption will hinge on commercial terms, latency and performance trade-offs for consumer services, local licensing and interconnection arrangements, and the ability of MVNE stacks (provisioning, eSIM, billing) to integrate with satellite-delivered links.
